Position Overview

The Department of English and Communication at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth seeks Part-Time Lecturers to teach in the First-Year English (FYE) program. Qualified candidates might start as soon as Fall 2026.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: At the time of application, potential candidates must:

  • hold a Master's degree or higher in Writing Studies, Rhetoric, English, or a related field, and
  • have taught at least one semester of a comparable class at the college/university level

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in teaching first-year writing, in developmental reading/writing, and/or dual enrollment First-Year writing courses.

Clery Disclosure Notice of Availability
