Job Summary
The Temporary Professional – Access Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the department's mission to provide essential support and resources to eligible students within the university community and beyond. Meets with students, reviews documentation and self-reports, and determines reasonable accommodations amongst a team of peers to ensure access to academic, campus life and on-campus work.
Essential Functions
- Manages a diverse caseload of university students with a range of disabilities and accommodation requirements.
- Services as the primary contact for students and relevant campus stakeholders.
- Interprets medical, psychological and or educational documentation to determine appropriate accommodation eligibility.
- Exercises sound professional and ethical judgment to informally resolve questions and concerns pertaining to accommodations, modifications, and related disability matters.
- Responsible for clear and timely communication via email, letters, memos, and telephone.
- Maintains contact notes, collects work output data, generates notifications of accommodation eligibility and produces performance reports.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Two (2) years relevant experience.
- Strong organizational skills; attention to detail; ability to prioritize workload effectively and efficiently.
- Works independently and effectively and manages multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to collect and interpret data and summarize reports.
- Experience working with database systems, including electronic calendars, data management, spreadsheets, word processing.
Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)
- Experience working in higher education.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
- Typical Office Environment.
Work Schedule
- M-F 8:30am – 5:00pm
- 37.5 Hours/week
- This is a temporary, non-benefited position
