The Department of English at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth seeks Full-Time Lecturers for our First-Year English program faculty, to begin September 2022.

FYE lecturer positions have a 4/4 course-load, a two-year, renewable contract with benefits, and access to on-going professional development and service opportunities. Primary responsibilities are to teach in the two-semester sequence of First-Year English and to advise students within the College of Arts and Sciences. Lecturers with appropriate training may be asked to teach other department courses; summer and online teaching opportunities are also available.
Requirements: ABD in Rhetoric/Composition, English, or closely related field required, Ph.D. preferred. Excellence in teaching university-level writing courses is required. Teaching experience or research in one or more of the following areas is preferred: Business Communications, Technical Communications, Writing for the Sciences, Intermediate Composition, or Developmental Reading/Writing.
