The College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CNHS) is currently seeking an experienced academic nurse administrator who will advance the College’s online education mission.
Reporting to the College Dean, the Assistant/Associate Dean’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to: providing innovative leadership and vision for nursing and health-science distance and online education; overseeing the training and professional development of all CNHS online faculty; quality assurance of online courses throughout their lifecycles; coordination of and providing assistance in developing new revenue-generating online courses and programs. This leadership position includes developing internal and external partnerships and pursuing initiatives that support distance and online learning within the College.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):
Education: Earned research doctoral degree (PhD, ScD) or clinical/professional degree (DNP), Master’s degree in Nursing or equivalent; Massachusetts RN license or eligibility for license
Experience: Three (3) years higher education teaching and curriculum development experience with significant emphasis on online teaching. Three (3) years experience of progressive leadership and responsibility with planning, implementing, managing, marketing, and supporting higher education academic programs and technology enabled learning and online/distance learning.
Other: Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends in order to meet project goals and deadlines. Work may be remote but presence on campus is also required. Some travel required.
- Five or more years higher education teaching and curriculum development experience with significant emphasis on online teaching
- Five or more years of progressive leadership and responsibility with planning, implementing, managing, marketing, and supporting higher education academic programs, and technology services for online programs
- Experience in managing projects and personnel in a collective bargaining unit environment

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences has three departments, Adult Nursing, Community Nursing, and Medical Laboratory Science. Nursing has a total of 26 full-time faculty members and offers undergraduate and graduate programs in two Departments-Adult Nursing and Community Nursing. The baccalaureate degree program has approximately 500 students in the pre-licensure track, 140 students in the fully online RN-BS track, and 48 students in the second degree accelerated BS hybrid track. The College also offers graduate nursing programs at the MS, DNP, and PhD level, with approximately 110 students enrolled across the graduate programs. The MS program is fully online and the DNP program is hybrid. Nursing programs are fully accredited by CCNE. Medical Laboratory Sciences has a total of 12 full-time faculty members and offers undergraduate programs. The traditional BS degree has approximately 110 students and the newly established fully online degree completion MLT to MLS track has approximately 20 students. The Medical Laboratory Science program is accredited by NAACLS.
