The Charlton College of Business at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth is seeking a Full Time Lecturer (FTL) in Finance, effective September 1, 2018.

General Summary of Position: The Charlton College of Business at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth is seeking a full time lecturer to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Finance. The teaching areas include investment, insurance, international finance, corporate finance, personal finance, financial institutions.  The FTL is also expected to perform services including academic advising, club advising, career counseling, business community engagement, student recruitment/retention, and curriculum development.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree or higher with emphasis in finance or a related area from an AACSB accredited university.
  • Working experience in a financial institution.
  • Teaching experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Finance or a related field
  • Teaching experience at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
  • CFA and other professional certification in finance
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrates ongoing professional activity and engagement related to professional background and experience
  • Experience in teaching online
  • Experience with recruitment and retention
  • Experience in academic advising, career advising, and/or student club advising
